FAQs
What is laser golf club cleaning?
Laser cleaning uses focused light energy to remove dirt, rust, oils, and oxidation from club heads without abrasion or chemicals. The process safely cleans the surface while preserving grooves, finishes, and coatings.
Is laser cleaning safe for my clubs?
Yes. Thomasmade’s laser process is non-abrasive and material-safe. It does not grind, scrape, or remove metal, making it safe for irons, wedges, putters, and most woods.
Will laser cleaning damage my grooves?
No. Unlike wire brushes or harsh cleaners, laser cleaning does not alter groove geometry. It restores groove clarity by removing buildup rather than removing material.
What types of clubs can you clean?
We clean:
Irons
Wedges
Putters
Most metal woods and hybrids
If you’re unsure about a specific finish or club type, we’re happy to evaluate it before cleaning.
How long does the cleaning process take?
Most clubs take just a few minutes to clean. A full set can typically be completed in under an hour, depending on condition.

Private locations (by appointment)
Availability may vary by location and season.

Not yet. We will offer full-set packages and maintenance memberships designed for golfers who want consistent club care throughout the season.
Will you offer club repairs?
Yes. Thomasmade is expanding into mobile golf club repair and customization, including regripping, loft and lie adjustments, shaft services, and tuning. Cleaning remains our foundation, with repairs added carefully and professionally.
Can laser cleaning fix rust?
Laser cleaning is highly effective at removing surface rust and oxidation. Deep structural damage may require additional evaluation, which we’re happy to provide.
Is this service better than ultrasonic cleaning?
Laser cleaning is more precise and non-invasive. It targets contaminants without immersing clubs in chemicals or water, reducing risk to finishes and internal components.
